Cities up and down the peninsula are hosting trick or treat events that promise a SPOOK-TACULAR time that’s also safe! Here’s a list of some of the best spots for trick-or-treating, and so much more! Haunted Howl-O-Ween Party

Even your pooch can celebrate Halloween at the 6th annual Howl-O-Ween party. Explore the haunted hotel, with tricks and treats around every corner, and get your photo taken with Cruella de Vil. There is also a costume contest with prizes, a silent auction, local vendors and more. Admission is $5-$15. This event is in support of Pets In Need, a non-profit rescue organization located in the Bay Area.

 

MENLO PARK

Halloween Hoopla Parade and Trick-or-Treat

Starts at 11 AM with the annual Halloween Costume Parade through downtown Menlo Park to Fremont Park. The parade starts at from the Maloney Street parking lot off Santa Cruz Avenue. After the parade, children are welcome to trick or treat in downtown Menlo Park stores that display a trick-or-treat sign on their door. There will be crafts, live entertainment and carnival games, plus a free trick-or-treat bag at Fremont Park for all children.

 

PALO ALTO

LOS ALTOS

2019 Halloween Spook-tacular

Downtown Los Altos

Thu, Oct 31 @ noon – 4:00 pm

Trick-or-treating for children starts at noon at stores in Downtown Los Altos displaying an orange pumpkin (bring your own treat bag). Fun and games at Veterans Community Plaza from 2pm to 4pm!

 

LOS ALTOS HILLS

Halloween Trick-or-Treat & Tour Town Hall

Trick-or-treating for all ages while touring the Town Hall offices, Heritage House, Council Chambers and the Parks and Recreation Building.

 

LOS GATOS

Shops along the Los Gatos central commercial district on N Santa Cruz Ave give away candy every Halloween. The Blossom Manor neighborhood, found in east Los Gatos, bordered by Blossom Hill Road, Los Gatos Boulevard, Los Gatos Almaden Road and Longwood Drive, is also popular among children.

Trick or Treat Trail | Willow Glen

On Halloween, shops along Lincoln Avenue in Willow Glenn will open up their businesses to trick-or-treating toddlers and babies in strollers from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, and school-age kids in costume from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. In the evening, head to the streets off the main street where you will find houses decked in spooky decorations, and find neighbors handing out plenty of candy.

Halloween! Trick or Treating in the Trail!

Select dates starting from Oct 18, PLUS Thu, Oct 31 @ 6pm – 10pm

Trick-or-treat early and often (!) on the Grimm’s Hollow Trail starting on Oct 18th. The family-friendly trail is open 7-8:30PM, and the scary trail from 9-10PM. Treats, carnival games and lots of surprises at the MEF Pumpkin Patch! Too much to describe here. Check their website for dates and times for all the activities. Admission is to the trail is $10 each, or $8 each for 4 or more.

The Children’s Discovery Museum promises an “all treats, no tricks bash for the entire family! Come in costume and experience the spoooooooooky magic of the Museum after hours!” Activities include Haunted Cube of Doors, Freaky Fidget, Magic Bubbles, Bernoulli Ghosts, Glow Bones, and the Healthy Treat Trail!

Reservations recommended. Tickets for non-members are $20 for adults and children over 1 year old. Tickets for members are $5 per adults and children over 1 year old.
